    Walker Elder Suites is Assisted Living in a gracious setting. Our Edina location--near large shopping complexes, restaurants, libraries, physician offices, hospitals and parks -- is convenient for both seniors and their families. Comprehensive assisted living...for individuals who need higher levels of care, our Care Suites are specifically designed to provide around-the-clock continuous care; staffed at a 5:1 ratio. Our licensed nurses are on duty 24 hours a day, allowing personalized and flexible care. Those needing higher levels of care such as those with Parkinson's disease and hospice patients find the compassionate care and warm surroundings supportive. Elegant and yet cozy surroundings with a residential atmosphere make residents feel right at home. Our own 24 hour awake staff is here to offer the supportive care and services that frail elders may need. Our Activities staff are here 7 days a week offering a variety of social, spiritual, and educational and enjoyable entertainment opportunities to meet a wide range of interests: from daily exercise groups to gardening in our Rose Garden, to painting and literature, to intergenerational visits with neighborhood school children, to cultural events and guest speakers. Our new, comfortable, wheel-chair accessible bus is available to take residents shopping, on luncheon outings, to sporting events, or to plays and symphonies, as well as to individual medical appointments at no charge to our residents. We offer a wide range of personal cares and services from our own Home Care staff, with personalized care plans tailored for each individual resident. Other amenities offered include our full-service Salon, for pampering including massage and pedicures, to a full services beauty treatments and services for both men and women. Our laundry service gives personal attention to care of each resident’s personal laundry, including a dry-cleaning service. Cultural outings, programs, performances and community celebrations are just a few of the opportunities for our residents to enjoy here at Walker Elder Suites.

    All Resident Assistant staff are certified NAR's. All medications are set up by LPN's. All mediation assistance is performed by TMA or LPN staff only. Continuing Education In-service training is provided monthly for all home health care staff.
