    SOPHIE’S PLACE

    Sophie’s Place is located in a quiet, safe neighborhood in Federal Way, Washington. It is a warm and secure place that residents can call home. They will truly become part of the family. We have created a comfortable and pleasant atmosphere for our residents. It is surrounded by beautiful trees where your loved one can enjoy watching and listening to the birds singing while having a cup of tea on the patio.
    At Sophie’s Place our goal is to provide the finest personal quality care possible to each resident. We want to help them maintain their independence as much as possible to provide them with the quality of life that each one deserves. Sophie’s Place will become their home.
    We serve the senior community who are unable to live alone and are looking for a secure, warm, loving and dignified alternative to assisted living or a nursing home facility. We offer quality, affordable homecare in a residential setting. We respect the privacy of each resident. We work closely with the family, Doctors and other healthcare professionals to provide the finest care possible.
    Sophie’s Place is a one story home so there are no steps to climb. We will keep them safe. It is wheelchair accessible. It is approved and licensed by the state of Washington.

    Sophie’s Place Homecare LEVEL OF SERVICE
    Each increasing level of care and assistance incorporates the services in the preceding levels.

    A. Level I -- minimal assistance:
    1. Medications management
    2. Supervision
    3. Weekly laundry
    4. Meals
    5. Shower set up/stand by assist
    6. Assistance with appointments
    7. Independent with walker or cane

    B . Level II -- moderate assistance with activities of daily living:
    1. Medication management
    2. Assistance with self-administered medication
    3. A.m. and p.m. dressing and grooming reminders and/or assistance
    4. Weekly bathing assistance
    5. Toileting reminders
    6. Assistance with incontinent care
    7. Diabetic diet monitoring
    8. Assistance in making appointments
    9. Daily bed making and light housekeeping
    10. Access to licensed personnel to answer Resident’s questions
    11. Transfers with minimal assistance
    12. Limited diet such as: Low salt or no added salt

    C. Level III -- more intensive assistance with activities of daily living
    1. Administered medications
    2. Storage and distribution of Resident’s medications
    3. A daily well-being check
    4. A.m. and p.m. dressing and grooming assistance
    5. Weekly bathing assistance
    6. Escort service to meals and activities daily
    7. Assistance with dining, feeding

    MEALS
    Our residents enjoy three homemade meals each day, and snacks are offered between meals. All meals are planned by a Registered Dietitian, balanced with a starch, protein, fruits and vegetables. Since this is home for each of our residents, we try to accommodate likes and dislikes, and appreciate special requests from our residents.
